The attack by Hamas not only claimed the lives of at least 1,139 individuals, including 764 civilians, but also exposed the grim reality of antisemitism and the threat it poses not only to Israel but to the fabric of democratic societies worldwide.

In the heart of our community, the Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School stands as a beacon of learning and heritage. Yet, the unsettling reality that this school, a place of joy and education for our youngest citizens, was compelled to hire private security due to threats is a stark reminder of the challenges we face. This isn't just a distant problem; it's here, affecting our neighbors and children. As your representative, I am committed to transforming our collective outrage into action, ensuring our community, and those across the globe, can live in peace and security.
