ADDRESSING THE
PRIORITIES OF TODAY

Changing times bring with it a new set of challenges to overcome. As the needs of constituents and the problems facing their communities evolve, so too should the policies aimed at addressing these concerns.

Unfortunately, Congress has failed to keep up. Congressional productivity and approval have dropped considerably over the past twenty years, and the average age of Congress remains high. Even as emerging technologies radically redefine the ways in which Americans live their daily lives, few members of Congress have any experience in such fields. Entrenched incumbents remain in office for decades, exploiting and exacerbating a broken system which rewards inaction and partisanship.

MAKING CONGRESS
WORK FOR YOU

Solving the uniquely complex problems of the twenty-first century requires rational, evidence-based, and data-driven decisions that are made in the best interest of the American people. An understanding of the multifaceted issues transforming communities in Silicon Valley and beyond is key to crafting sound solutions. New technologies have the potential to make our government more efficient and accountable, and will allow us to better examine and respond to the needs of constituents. The time is now, more than ever, for new leaders to take the stage, prepared to face the challenges of tomorrow head-on.

I am running for Congress because we need legislation for the digital age.

As your representative, I will work tirelessly to promote proactive and pro-business reforms, combat discrimination and hatred, and push for policies that help Americans recover as fast as possible from the devastation of the pandemic. By tapping into the pioneering spirit of innovation which made our district what it is today, I’ll use my experience as a technology entrepreneur to champion evidence-based, solutions-oriented, policies which will finally make Congress work for you.

Priorities

JUSTICE AND DEMOCRACY

ANTI-ASIAN CRIME

Anti-AAPI violence has increased sharply in recent years. We need to ensure that criminals are being prosecuted for hate crimes and that Asian American voices are being heard in government. Learn more about my initiative to increase Asian voter participation at 8by8.us.

FREEDOM OF SPEECH

As a strong believer in the First Amendment, I know it is our duty not only to protect the voices with whom we agree but also the voices with whom we disagree.

IMPROVING THE VOTING METHOD

In order to make our democratic system better reflect the will of the people, we should implement a system of approval voting, which would allow for a tiered system where voters indicate all the candidates which they approve of.

GUN CONTROL

With the recent tragedies in Uvalde, Buffalo, and countless other places, changing the way we approach gun control has become a critical issue.

WOMEN'S RIGHTS

The recent Supreme Court leak has highlighted the immediate need for Congress to codify Roe.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE

We must bolster our law enforcement in order to ensure the safety of all Americans.

THE ENVIRONMENT

CLIMATE CHANGE

Climate change is an existential threat to humanity. I believe that we must act quickly to pass laws that will reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and promote usage of nuclear and renewable energy sources.

NUCLEAR ENERGY

Embracing nuclear energy would provide a viable and renewable source of fuel to power our nation. In order to confront the looming specter of climate change, we must utilize the right technologies to build a better future for generations to come.

AIRPLANE NOISE

Constituents in District 16 have suffered from excessive airplane noise for far too long. We need a transparent and efficient  system that works directly with constituents to create solutions that work for everyone.

THE U.S ECONOMY

INFLATION

In order to fight runaway inflation and keep more money in the pockets of hard working Americans, we must clamp down on wasteful government spending and pursue a policy of fiscal responsibility.

R&D AMORTIZATION

In order to make it easier to innovate, we must cancel the Trump-era policy of R&D amortization. This policy will discourage competitive markets and hamper the emergence of new technological developments.

HEALTHCARE REFORM

American healthcare is fundamentally broken. I advocate for a reimagining of our current system which looks closer to what is currently in place in Switzerland, where consumer-driven competition is the cornerstone of effective healthcare. This would build upon the foundation already established by the Affordable Care Act and make our healthcare system more robust, efficient, and equitable.

EDUCATION

Education is absolutely essential to determine the economy, quality of life, success, and health of our nation and our students of today. Without the needed reform to the access and level of education in our country today, we risk failing our future students and losing our place as an international leader.

COVID RESTART

Small businesses in Silicon Valley and around the country have suffered greatly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We need to enact policies that will help small businesses recover, rebuild, and restart so that they can leave the pandemic working better and smarter than before.

TECH AND INNOVATION

Silicon Valley was built on tech, and I am a staunch supporter of increasing America’s capacity to innovate by enacting common-sense regulatory policy for the tech and internet sector, embracing emerging technologies, and improving STEM education in our schools.

CRYPTOCURRENCY

Decentralized finance is the future, and our leaders must act swiftly so that our economy can catch up in time. Silicon Valley deserves a representative who will advocate for new technologies that can help build a more equitable and efficient financial system.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Silicon Valley was built by entrepreneurs, and it is crucial that we keep that enterprising spirit alive by revitalizing American entrepreneurship through policies that attract venture capital, cut costs, and spur greater innovation.

FREE TRADE

I am a firm believer in the power of free trade, and if we want to get our country back on track after the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, embracing free trade and removing barriers to trade while simultaneously protecting the interests of American consumers is paramount.

GLOBAL MINIMUM TAX

I stand firmly against the G7 and OECD agreement to begin the implementation of a global minimum tax rate for all multinational corporations, as it would make the American economy less globally competitive and just puts an additional burden on American consumers.

FOREIGN DERIVED INTANGIBLE INCOME (FDII)

Repealing Foreign Derived Intangible Income (FDII) would threaten America’s ability to stay globally competitive by removing an important incentive for intellectual property to remain in the United States. Enacting an anti-growth policy would weaken our country on the world stage, and as such I stand against repealing FDII.
